How I work, step by step

I explain it all before you pay me anything: what happens at each stage, what I ask of you, when you pay and what I check before handing you the website. If something here doesn’t suit you, better to know at the start.

The seven steps

  1. Free check-up

I look at your website and your Google Business Profile and tell you what’s wrong, with examples you can check yourself in a minute: the speed score on mobile, the wrong opening hours, the missing legal page. I tell you on WhatsApp, with no forty-page PDF and no obligation. If that’s enough for you to sort it out yourself, that’s fine by me.

  2. Fixed proposal within 48 h

A short document: what gets done, what doesn’t, what it costs with VAT, how long it takes and what I need from you. The price is fixed. If something that wasn’t there comes up halfway, we talk about it before I touch it; it never turns up on the final invoice.

  3. Contract and half up front

We sign a contract with the included hours written down, and 50 % is paid. The rest, on delivery. Without that step I don’t start: it’s what gives the project a date instead of leaving it at «whenever I can».

  4. Materials and kick-off

You send me text, photos, logo and logins, by an agreed date. It’s the part that delays most projects, so we put it in writing. If you don’t have the text, I write it for you from a recorded conversation.

  5. Design and two rounds of changes

You see the real website at a private address, not a drawing. Two rounds of changes included: note down everything you want in each one. Changing your mind is fine; starting from scratch three times isn’t, and that’s why the rounds are counted from the start.

  6. Delivery with sixteen points checked

I don’t deliver until the sixteen points below pass, one by one. Then I show you how everything works and hand over the passwords in a document.

  7. Afterwards: only if you want

The website is yours and runs on its own. If you’d rather I kept it up to date, there’s a monthly plan with no lock-in: it starts counting on delivery day and is charged at the end of each month, so the first invoice arrives a month later. If you don’t take it, that’s fine: everything is still in your name and you can message me whenever you need something.

The sixteen delivery points

It’s the same list for every client. I go through all of it before saying the website is finished, and I show it to you ticked off.

  1. The domain points where it should and the website shows at your real address
  2. Padlock and certificate active, with no «not secure» warnings
  3. Contact form tested: it sends and reaches your inbox
  4. WhatsApp button tested from a phone
  5. Viewed and used on a real phone, not only on a computer
  6. Google’s mobile score above 90, measured and shown to you
  7. Legal notice with your business details, privacy policy and cookie policy
  8. Visitor statistics installed, with no cookies and no annoying banner
  9. Registered in Google Search Console with the sitemap submitted
  10. Your business details marked up so Google reads them correctly
  11. Finishing touches: tab icon, preview image when shared on WhatsApp and a custom error page
  12. Your Google Business Profile links to the new website
  13. Backup tested and automatic backups set up
  14. Domain and hosting in your name, with me only as manager
  15. Passwords handed over in a document, all of them
  16. Half an hour showing you how anything you might want to change works

Everything in your name

Domain, hosting, website and Google Business Profile are registered in your name from day one. I come in as manager and you can remove me whenever you like. You’ll never depend on me to get back what’s yours.

Hours in writing

Both the project and the monthly plan have their hours counted in the contract. You know what you’re paying for, and I know what I deliver. If more is needed one month, I tell you first: €25/hour + VAT.

Half and half

50 % on signing and 50 % on delivery, with an invoice. Large projects can be paid in installments. The passwords and the code are handed over once it’s paid, which is normal in any trade.

What you won’t see here

  • Promises of ranking first on Google. Nobody can keep them, and anyone selling them to you is misleading you.
  • «Free» websites with an inflated fee that ties you down: that’s renting your own business.
  • Twelve-month lock-ins.
  • Fancy words in the proposal to make it look like there’s more work than there is.

What you will

  • A fixed price in writing before starting
  • One single person on the other side: me
  • Speed measured and shown, not promised
  • The legal pages always included, never charged separately
  • And if there’s something I can’t do well, I tell you and send you to someone who can
